A therapist and a laughing child play outdoors with bubbles — a warm, candid speech therapy moment.

If you're worried about your child's speech, you're not over-reacting.

  1. 01

You've been told to "wait and see" — but the words still aren't coming, and kindy is around the corner.

  2. 02

The public waitlist is nine months. Your child doesn't have nine months of school confidence to spare.

  3. 03

You want someone who sees your kid as a kid, not a diagnosis. Somewhere they'll actually want to go.

About the practice

What Brilliant Star does.

Brilliant Star Speech Pathology is a children's speech pathology practice in Bella Vista, NSW, founded and led by Natalie Sabeti, a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) trained in the Hanen and Lidcombe programs. Sessions run in-clinic, at home, in schools, and by telehealth across the Hills District. The practice accepts NDIS, Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans, and private health extras.

What we work on

Six specialist areas, one clinician who knows each of them well.

Brilliant Star is a specialist paediatric practice, not a generalist clinic. Every area below is one Natalie personally delivers, using named evidence-based methods where they exist.

Speech sounds

Speech sounds

Articulation and phonological therapy for kids who can't say specific sounds, or whose error patterns are holding speech back. Assessment tells you whether this is typical development or something that needs help now.

Language and communication

Language and communication

Vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and expression. For late talkers, preschoolers behind their peers, and school-age kids struggling to put ideas into sentences.

Stuttering (Lidcombe Program)

Stuttering (Lidcombe Program)

Gold-standard early-childhood stuttering treatment, delivered the way the research says it works best. Parent-coached, play-based, evidence-tracked.

Literacy and learning

Literacy and learning

Reading, writing, and spelling support using structured literacy approaches. Often where speech pathology and school performance meet.

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)

Gestures, visual aids, key word sign, and speech-generating devices for kids whose voice needs more than words alone can carry.

Social communication

Social communication

Friendship skills, conversation repair, and pragmatic language for kids who find the unwritten rules of talking exhausting.

"Neuro-affirming practice means I start with what your child already does well, then build from there. Therapy should feel like play with a plan, not a test they're failing."

From first call to first session

Three steps. No mystery.

01

Free 15-minute call

You tell Natalie what you're noticing. She tells you whether assessment makes sense, how much it costs, and what funding pathway fits your family. No pressure to book.

02

Assessment

Usually 60 to 90 minutes, in-clinic or by telehealth. You leave knowing exactly what's going on and what a therapy block would look like.

03

Therapy, with you in the room

Weekly or fortnightly sessions, with built-in coaching so what happens in the room carries over to home. You'll have strategies to use the same day.

  • How much does a speech pathology session cost in Sydney's Hills District?

Fees vary depending on the length and setting of the session. Natalie will give you the current rate on the free 15-minute call, along with the funding pathway that applies to your family (NDIS, Medicare CDM, private health extras, or self-funded). Nothing is hidden until you book.

  • Do you take NDIS?

Yes. Brilliant Star accepts self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Natalie will invoice your plan manager directly so you don't see a bill, and she'll contribute to your goal reporting in plain English.

  • Can we use Medicare?

Yes, if your GP writes a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, Medicare rebates up to five allied-health sessions per calendar year. The current rebate is about $61.80 per session and Brilliant Star will process the claim on your behalf. You pay the gap at the session.

  • How long is the waitlist?

Current wait for new paediatric assessments is short compared to the public system, where six-month waits are typical. Call or message to hear this month's actual availability — it changes week to week.

  • What ages do you work with?

Infants and toddlers with emerging communication, preschoolers, primary and high-school kids, and young adults up to early-twenties. Brilliant Star is a paediatric and young-person practice. Adult post-stroke or voice work is referred on.

  • Do you offer home visits or telehealth?

Both. Natalie sees families in the Bella Vista clinic, at home across the Hills District, in local schools and childcare centres, and by telehealth for families who need the flexibility or live further out. The choice is yours.

Ready to stop worrying and start helping?

Fifteen minutes on the phone with Natalie will tell you whether your child needs support, what it would look like, and how it would get paid for. No obligation, no sales pitch.
